Enhanced Sales Order Efficiency & Control
Kit Processing solution significantly improves sales order entry efficiency by allowing users to explode kit components directly on the Sales Order screen. This eliminates the need to switch to separate maintenance screens or generate pick lists to review kit components, thereby reducing manual effort and accelerating order processing.
Users gain detailed control over the cost calculation basis for kit items directly within the native Sales Order Preferences screen, ensuring greater flexibility without requiring ongoing adjustments to inventory items.
Additionally, the ability to adjust quantities and add or remove components directly on the Sales Order line, or through the Component Details pop-up window prior to kit explosion, further enhances order accuracy and user control.

Flexible Kit Configuration & Customization
This solution provides robust functionality for customizing kit specifications, enabling businesses to define kits with complex options and rules. The “Kit has options” feature allows users to add extra components and configure the Option Category and Option Code tabs.
Options can be marked as Required, ensuring that specific selections are made, while the Sort Order setting helps manage the display sequence more effectively. The Default Code feature automatically includes predefined options in orders, which is particularly useful for API integrations and data import scenarios.
In addition, the Allow Option Rules capability supports advanced logic to exclude target options based on source option selections, ensuring valid kit configurations and preventing incompatible choices.
The ability to define component substitutions or add entirely new components further enhances flexibility in managing kit structures.

Granular Kit Explosion & Pricing Management
Kit Processing provides comprehensive control over the display and pricing of kits. Users can configure kit explosion behavior through the Explode Options setting, choosing from Prompt, Automatically, or Do Not Explode.
This flexibility extends to Price Calculation, where businesses can define kit pricing based on the kit’s default price, the default prices of individual components, or a combined default price. To avoid double-counting exploded components, a Kit Placeholder Item is used, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and order totals.
All settings can be configured both at the global Sales Order Preferences level and at the individual kit level, allowing precise financial management and alignment with diverse pricing strategies.
The Kit Pricing Summary screen provides additional tools for managing component costs, markups, and surcharges, supporting clear visibility and consistent control over pricing structures.

Integrated Procurement & Assembly Workflows
The solution extends its functionality beyond sales by integrating with procurement processes and kit assembly generation. From the Component Details pop-up window on the Sales Orders screen, users can create Purchase Orders (PO) directly for kit components.
When multiple components are sourced from the same vendor, the system consolidates them into a single PO, optimizing the purchasing process. In addition, Kit Assembly documents can be generated directly from the Sales Orders screen without requiring kit explosion, using the current kit revision. This streamlines the production or kitting process and maintains consistency across transactions.
As a result, the solution ensures a cohesive flow from sales to supply chain management, including the receipt of purchased kit components into inventory.

Streamlined Order Fulfillment & Invoicing
Kit Processing streamlines the entire order fulfillment cycle for kit items. After kit explosion, users can initiate the shipment process directly from the Sales Order, confirm shipments, and prepare invoices with minimal effort.
The solution manages complex scenarios such as partial shipments. For example, when the Use Kit Default Price option is selected, the first invoice reflects the total kit price, while subsequent invoices for the remaining items are issued with zero amounts.
Support for multiple shipping methods based on component availability — such as Ship Available Qty. and Ship Ordered Qty. — further increases flexibility in logistics management, allowing businesses to fulfill orders in line with their operational requirements.

Seamless E-commerce & Data Integration
This solution provides essential e-commerce integration capabilities, particularly with platforms such as BigCommerce. It allows businesses to fulfill BigCommerce orders using kit items, automatically updating order statuses and tracking numbers in the e-commerce store once shipments are confirmed in Acumatica.
Although order amounts may vary due to different price calculation methods, this does not affect order execution in BigCommerce, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted online sales operations.
Beyond e-commerce, the system supports automated data import for kit items through Acumatica Import Scenarios. This functionality enables structured data entry from external sources, including the configuration of kit headers, the addition of components, and the setup of options, thereby improving efficiency in data management.

ShipHero–Acumatica Integration is a native extension that synchronizes fulfillment and ERP data through a governed store configuration. It supports two directional modes (ShipHero to Acumatica and Acumatica to ShipHero), validates connectivity, imports orders and shipments, exports orders and purchase orders, brings receipts back, and synchronizes items, vendors, warehouses, and inventory quantities. Centralized options for taxes, packaging, customers, items, and cross-references keep postings consistent and auditable across the order, shipment, and receiving lifecycle.
Salesforce–Acumatica Integration provides a governed store configuration that connects Salesforce and Acumatica with credential validation, cross-reference mapping, and policy-driven import and export flows. Orders are imported from Salesforce into Acumatica with configurable defaults; customers, items, price books, and discounts can be synchronized; and approved changes in Acumatica can be pushed back to Salesforce. Options for taxes, payments, and address overrides keep postings compliant, while inquiry and history pages give operators traceability from initial import through updates and releases.
